GIVE AND TAKE LAUNCH PARTY

Held at the newly set up Beatnik Pandan Indah, It's a new gig space. Huge space, on the 18th Floor, awesome new back line. The show is a party release for the Give and Take compilation CD. Yep all bands performed on that day were line ups from the compilation. We have Nuisance Drilled, Made Fake, The Mindless Show, The Needles, Toxictoy , Thy Regiment.  Average of 30-40 showed up not including band. Gig at 5, the drag ain't that bad, organizer late about 30 minutes from time he promised. Nuisance Drilled opened the unholy ceremony. I'm glad to see the line up of Global Deficiencies axing for ND. I'm familiar with their riffings, and it suits well in the sludgy set. All tracks were damn awesome, it's heavy, depressing and rad as heck. 25 minutes 4 tracks!  The next band. MadeFake, owh shit this band are damnn goood! Fast tight pop punk rock . Everybody submit themselves into the pit of madness. I'm standing on the side with major sometimes minor head bob. Third band don't deserve to live. they sucked. so i skip to the fourth band it's the needles. ramones fueled punk rock. they music crazy enough to make some punk rockers do the kung fu dancing or whatever you called it at the lung of Beatnik. 10 person front stage, 4 do kung fu dancing. Bizzare..the fifth band is thy regiment turns. metalcore, some time they do sound like hellshock especially their faster tunes ha ha ha. anyway, there's breakdown part where usually you can see some crazy fucks do the self windmill expression worm vomit brains. But no, they just head bang like listening to Atomicdeath.. rad.. last band of the day at 9 pm plus minus its Skunkfix. Ok the drummer from the previous band didn't change. yes they share the same drummer as most of Malaysia fucks already know, luckily theres no Naratu, Always Last and Kids on The Move on the list. But Min the drummer doesn't seem to look tired or in the state of low energy. in Skunkfix he blast faster than insect Warfare. the combination is pretty much wild with Akmal tim hisham on axe with one hand shredding every shit off. They've previewed some new tracks. Fucking brilliant. short fast as heck and you can see some kids one eye on the drummer and one eye on the guitar. They blow shit off. It's about 10 when the show ended, so thats the officia launch of Give and Take. Check out the limited 100 alternate version cover at Pissart records. Cheers
